EMBRACE - Avalanche - LP - Turquoise Colour Vinyl [JUN 12]
LP - Indies Exclusive Limited Edition Turquoise Colour Vinyl with Printed Inner.
With chart-defining records, sold-out tours and festival headline slots behind them, Embrace remain one of the defining bands of their generation. Avalanche, their ninth studio album, arrives in 2026 as the band celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Written and recorded with a renewed sense of perspective, Avalanche sees the band stripping things back emotionally and sonically. Danny McNamara describes the record as the most honest and open work Embrace have made, choosing feel over polish and allowing songs to remain imperfect, unresolved, and human. Remarkably, the bandâs line-up has remained unchanged since 1996 â a rare continuity that underpins their longevity. Rather than offering answers, the album sits with the reality that life is fragile, overwhelming, and fleeting â and that meaning often exists in paying attention to whatâs already here.
Thirty years into their career, Embrace sound less concerned with legacy and more committed to capturing something real, right now. Avalanche is released June 12, 2026. More information on Embraceâs live shows and 30th anniversary events can be found at embrace.co.uk.
'We came into this album with a really simple idea: that real, deep, honest-to-God joy doesnât live in the big, dramatic moments weâre all taught to chase. It doesnât live in huge, unattainable goals or impressive, life-changing achievements. It lives in the small, almost invisible flashes of magic that happen when you slow down and actually live in the moment. Lyrically, I was trying to capture those little magic moments. Ironically, Iâve spent most of my life not noticing them, and when I finally did, they all came at once â itâs been pretty overwhelming. Which I guess is why the title AVALANCHE felt so right." - Danny McNamara
